WHAT IS LVM IN PLC? WHY IS IT REQUIRED ? HOW IS IT USED? IS IT AVAIALBLE IN ALL PLC?

Apparently it's not available in all PLCs because I have no idea what your refering to.

In terms used by Siemens, this would mean Limit Value Monitor. A comparitor, with a hysteresis, for generating alarms, releases etc from analogue values.

I guess, I would either relate that to AB's limit command or the data type Alarm in Controllogix but not knowing the function in that PLC it sounds like the best answer to me. Limiting an analog input value is VERY common but so is alarming a certain value.
