why siemens have long delivery time for motion products (drives, servomotors)? usually several weeks! is this the case everywhere? thanks

I believe the motors are build upon order.
The drive units are out of Germany unless they have some locally (distributor).
I have also seen up to 4-6 weeks for some items (out of Germany).
Last I heard the new Simogear gearmotors are build in the U.S for the local market.
