Adding a 1734-IE4C Module on a 1734-AENT

Good Evening ,

I have a CompactLogix 1769-L18 ,with a 1734-IE4C beside it and I am remotely adding a 1734-AENT, and on the side of that I am adding a 1734-IE4C. I have the firmware flashed for the 1769-L18 , and IP addresses in the 1769-L18 and the 1734-AENT. But the 1734-AENT Point Bus Status is flashing red on the module. I know I do not have the 1734-IE4C , configured for the 1734-AENT. My question is , where do I add a "New Module" for the 1734-IE4C beside the remote 1734-AENT. Would that be added as Expansion I/O , and be slot 3 , or would I add beside the "Ethernet" part of the tree for the 1734-AENT. ( I right click , but no selection to add "New Module" ).

Open the properties box of the 1734-AENTR and then click on the CHANGE button and make the chassis size to 2, after you apply this change you will be able to add your 1734-IE4C module.

Thanks, I just did that and was able to add the analog module . I still have the Point Bus Status light flashing red. I have yellow triangles on my I/O in RS Logix 5000 , and RS Linx I have Yellow question marks for the 1734-AENT. Thanks for the idea in properties . I thought that would of done it. The key in the 1734-IE4C bases does not have anything to do with it , does it ?

You also need to go into the module properties when online to controller, & select the button that says 'set module size' (or similar)

Thanks Lost Control , that solved that Bus Point Status from flashing red. Everything on the 1734-AENT , looks good. The 1734-IE4C beside the 1734-AENT , the channel status is flashing red. I still have Yellow Triangles on the 1769-L18 discrete I/O, and the 1734-IE4C , that is next to the 1769-L18. I also have I/O not responding on the L18 .
