I would like to make a Siemens PLC simulator to simulate multiple S7-300 PLCs, maybe more models in the future.

I just want to some advice before I start.

AWLSIM - http://bues.ch/cms/hacking/awlsim.html

I don't know python that well and before I start learning it so that I can modify the source if needed, does this software actually work?
Can I make multiple PLC instances via a PC or do I have to setup multiple Raspberrys for each PLC to make it easier?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated or if there is any other tools to look into, please let me know.
