Hi all, do anyone know how many panelview plus that I can connect to a single processor L71 using EN2TR.
(checked the knowledgebase of Rockwell, it said recommend only (5) PNL but that technote was in 2004.

Not sure if the number is changed with new hardware now aday.

Thanks a lot.

The 1756-EN2TR supports 128 TCP and 256 CIP connections, max (and 8 axes CIP motion). PanelViews (IIRC) require 1 TCP and 5 CIP connections per. Depending on your application, these aren't the only considerations; there's distributed I/O, potential data collection, connections consumed by connected instances of Studio5K, and so on.

Have a look at this:

An L7 series processor supports 500 connections, so you'd need another EN2TR to approach this limit.

The module's web server provides a great deal of info, I attached a screenshot of an EN3TR in our plant.

Thank you Jeremy for the useful info. :)

How many PanelView Plus terminals do you WANT to connect?

Jeremy is right, the PanelView Plus will use between 2 and 5 CIP connections.
You can limit that to just 2 CIP connections if needed.

Take a look at this thread as well.
It talks about the ControlLogix and how your code can affect HMI updates.

The proposal is up to 20 panelview Plus on this project using DLR topology.
we're planning to have a single L71 processor talks to 20 remote i/o rack (they are not big, about only 20 analog and 30 discrete per remote i/o rack), each remote i/o rack, customer wants a display which only display the information in that area, not the whole plant.
Thanks arlenjacobs for the info. :)

Not sure if you meant 20 x analog inputs, or 20x analog modules. If the latter,
Please see info below regarding analog modules, from our good friend Geospark;

Analog and Speciality modules each use one of the 20 "direct connections" available per adapter. This limits you to 20 analog or speciality modules per rack.
