Hello,

This is my first project with WonderWare Historian so i am a newbie if it comes to this. I am using the Historian to connect to a MicrosoftSQL Express database. I am using the DASABCIP DA server to connect to my PLC. I then use the System Management Console to connect to the database and send over my PLC tags.

I have an issue with connecting to the Database from my DA Server. Attached is a picture of what it looks like.

Would appreciate it if anyone can help me, ive been stuck on this issue for a day now and i only have a few days to get this system up and running.

Thanks!

A quick google search for you I found these - check for relevance to your specific issue.

https://insource.mindtouch.us/Suppo...view_on_localhost_REFUSED,_SLSSVC_not_running

https://insource.mindtouch.us/Suppo...d_slssvc_not_runnning_resources_out_at_server

Error indicates the Wonderware SuiteVoyager service is not started Click Start | Run Enter 'services.msc' Start the Wonderware SuiteVoyager service Close and reopen WindowViewer

User admitted that they had just installed TopServer. TopServer makes use of the Suitelink service, so it is possible that the service software was damaged. Had the customer uninstall InTouch, reboot, then reinstall. This fixed the issue.

I indeed googled the issue and found the 2 links you posted aswell. I tried to check for the services but nothing like a Wonderware SuiteVoyager is shown. Maybe i forgot to install something?

In the 3rd link you posted a duplicate IP was mentioned in the Host File. Where would i be able to locate the host file? AFAIK there are no duplicate IP Addresses on my network.

Make sure DNS is resolving.

You have 2 nodes - 192.168.1.101 and SRV_TANIS_01.

Are those the same computer? Why is one (that is working) using \\SRV_TANIS_01

What is at 192.168.1.101?

From Windows CMD:

If you do a "ping SRV_TANIS_01" does it respond / come back with IP Address?

Can you resolve the other way with an "nslookup 192.168.1.101"

Do you have DNS servers in place resolving for internal nodes?
