IFM CR0401 Controller Speed Sensor Issue

I currently have an IFM CR0401 controller and CR0451 Display unit with Input 01 configured as FASTCOUNT to read pulses from a speed sensor on a hydraulic motor (Eaton Motor, 60PPR sensor). I am unable to capture any data from the speed sensor.

If I connect another sensor (NorthStar, 512PPR) to the same M12 cable using the same pinouts and inputs/outputs, I am able to read and display the pulses generated by the secondary sensor.

Does anyone have any experience with the IFM controls and Codesys and have any insight why I can read data from one sensor and not the other? I've tried multiple motors with the same result.

I simply need to capture the number of pulses generated by the sensor - I can manipulate the data once I have that information.

I am relatively new to this, so please forgive my ignorance.
