Hello gentlemen,

I have Allen Bradley Servo drive(P/N: 2198-H040-ERS) in stock.
However, the servo motor should be Allen Bradley VPL-B1003F series which is 1.65kW. I checked to see if 2198-H040-ERS can support this motor but it shows only only 2198-H015-ERS and 2198-H025-ERS for the servo motor on selection guide. 2198-H040-ERS can handle servo motor with up to 8.3kW at 480VAC 3PH. Could I use this servo drive(2198-H040-ERS) for VPL-B1003F servo motor?

Yes you can use the H040. You are using a cannon to kill an ant but it will work just fine. Once you select the correct motor inside Studio 5000 it will automatically limit the current that the Drive will supply to the motor.

Thanks Ian,

My technical support told me only H015 and H025 can support this motor and I kind of did not believe it. Now it makes sense.
