Hello everyone,

I have two 1768-L43 controllers. In each chassis are two 1768-ENBT modules. In chassis A, there is one with the IP 10.133.66.95. This is used as a bridge to our plant network. The other one is 10.10.2.11. This one is used to talk to some PF525's, a couple of PanelViews and also to an Ethernet card in chassis B.

In RSLinx, I can see everything. I am on the 10.133.66 network and can connect with chassis A through the 10.133.66.95 ENBT. If I expand the backplane in RSLinx, I can see the 10.133.66.11 ENBT and through this I can see, and get online with the controller in chassis B. The ENBT cards in chassis B are 10.10.2.10 and 10.10.2.20.

The fact that I can get online with controller B means that my 10.10.2.11 ENBT card in chassis A must be working. There are no faults on the card but in RSLinx and Logix 5000 the card is unresponsive when trying to look at properties. In the project file for controller B, I am getting a comms error to the ENBT card in chassis A @ 10.10.2.11. Any ideas? I did not originally set up this network and it is a bit of a mess but I am trying to get it working.

What is the error?

Can you get on the 10.10.2.X network and then browse to 10.10.2.11 directly via a web browser and see if it shows you anything?

I got it figured out now although I'm not sure why. There were two different Ethernet switches involved with a jumper between the two. I moved all the cables into one switch since they are unmanaged. I then went into the I/O config in the program for chassis B's controller and removed chassis A's controller from the config tree. I set it all back up again and reconfigured the produced/consumed tags and off it went.
