Communicating with PLC 5's

We recently upgraded our maintenance laptop to windows 7, and we no longer have our PCMK card slot in the computer.

I have 2 different types of PLC 5's in the building. I have a 5/12 model with a 9 pin serial port. I also have a 5/30 with the ch A mini din connection.

Cost is not a problem. What are my best options?

FYI, the 9 pin port on your PLC5/12 is not a serial port. Its a DH+ port.

Edit:
Your PLC5/30 does have a 25 pin serial port. A null modem cable with a serial port (on your PC) or USB to serial adapter would get you connected to it.

When it comes to cost... we just came out with a aftermarket kit that comes with everything (3 connectors) and at a fraction of the cost, its easy to setup and works great!

We have sold a few and people really like them and they love the cost saving
