Measure current

Hi,
I have a question if I can measure current below 5A directly in module EL3403?
Or I need in this case use current transformers?

According the specs:

Measuring current max. 1 A (AC), via measuring transformers x A/1 A

So no. The current input takes in max of 1A. You will need a CT to drop the current to max of 1A.

Thanks, but I have a module of version el3403-0010, where max current is 5A, so can I connect this module without current transformer?
Or if I always have to use the current transformer?
