Hey everyone,

I've recently got Factorytalk Viewpoint software. I'm by no means an expert on it so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. For our ViewSE project, everything is on a certain security level so only the appropriate user can do certain things. With that being said, I've heard Viewpoint doesnt support Login/Logout features. Just wondering if anyone has a workaround for this without having to take the security away.

ViewPoint also doesn't support the "set" command. So no matter who your user is, they won't be able to do anything. That's the whole idea of "ViewPoint" ;)

Actually since version 2 your have been able to write back.
I have a very large project working doing that very thing.
Login/Logout is not something I've used, so I can't answer that.

I don't understand why View point doesnt support log in/log out, as we know it is important think in SCADA.

I have facing same problem like you, so I make log in log out using some instruction in logic sequence.
