I know this was covered in some older posts but did not want to reply to one from 2011. I have the PLC2 A.I. software running on a windows 98 computer. I tried printing it to a file like the old thread suggested, http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=99361&highlight=print+PLC2 , it goes through the motions of printing it to the file, but when look for the file in the folder I told it to print to it isn't there. Not sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Just .zip the files and attach them here. Maybe I or someone else can print them out for you. You "might" be able to download one of those programs that re-direct your LPT1 port to a .txt file or USB port for a newer printer. If you have an old computer with WinXP that "might" just work. Just Google DOS support for usb. A program called printfil comes to mind.

What printer output does the windows 98 machine have LPT port or is it 98 SE with working USB ports? With windows 98 it could be either depending on if it's SE or not and what updates are installed.

There are lots of software programs that will do an LPT port capture in windows such as i have below and some of them are DOS specific.

I have also used this guy with great success for a very similar problem

This is a close second but I have not used it myself

Here are the software options. I can vouch for printfil.
