Hello Guys, This is my first time using a siemens cp343-1. I am also still fairly new to siemens PLCs. Right now I have a test bench setup with a Siemens cpu 313C-2DP followed by a cp343-1. I have a profinet Keyence SR1000 barcode scanner hooked up to the cp343-1 port. I have configured my hardware, setup my scanner, and am able to download via profinet using the cp343 and have no faults including on my scanner online with the hardware config.

When I am in the hardware config the scanner is mapped to I0-5 256-419, Q0-2 256-387. I am attempting to trigger Q1.0 (scanner trigger bit) and am not receiving any response. I am not reciving any status bits from the scanner as well. I feel there is some sort of mapping I may be missing, or possibly addressing something incorrectly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

IIRC, the 313 has limited address space - use addresses below 128

Okay, I have adjusted the scanner to use I0-5, Q0-5, I78-213, Q52-181. I think its 256. What do I do about the I/Q for the CP343 Device itself? I will attached some pictures

I have attempted to move the addresses, Still no fault. But it still seems like there is no communication.

If I was attempting to use an out of range address would the CPU fault?

Are there any required SFCs maybe?
