Hey guys long time reader but first poster.

I am working on a communication from a 1768-L43 to a 1756-L71 using a MSG instruction.

There is already other PLC MSG instructions going from this same setup. I am just adding another message. I am wanting to grab a BOOL bit or a DINT.

Both of these data types are throwing fits on me. I have tried like to like on all of them. My initial thought is in the PLC where I am grabbing the information from to change the bool or dint into an INT.

My going problem is I can setup a MSG instruction EXACTLY the same as a previous instruction and yet it will give me the same error.

For example I am setting up a MSG instruction exactly like one that is currently working, but I will still get the 2107 Code about the values. But yet I am using the exact same scenario as one that is working, so I can never get it out of error mode?

Just looking for a bit of information on what is causing me the issue. My other PLC Tech is out of office til next week.

Thanks!

PS I have read through a ton of the MSG instruction topics of the past and none seemed to of helped me.

EDIT: I Guess I figured out my own solution. I did not have the correct setup leading up to my MSG instruction as the others did.
