Emergency stop in GX Developer

Hello,

I am completely new to PLC programming and i have one question.

is it okay to program a emergency stop in the same POU asthe rest of the mechanism. And if so, what is the safest way to do it?

There are a number of threads on this same topic. In general the estop should be hard wired in a circuit. An input can be taken from it. A 'Safety PLC' could be used and this would change the general rule.
