Hey everybody. New to working with PLCs as I just got a new job out of school.
Using Factory Talk SE.
I am creating the HMI screens for our line and am have a puzzling error. I create a few tag groups, and immediately after this I read one of the tag objects from one the tag groups created to check its value. I get an error that just states Unable to read tag value <Tag>. However, when I watch the variable line by line in the run time code it is reading the correct value and has it stored.
I messed around and found if I put a sleep right before I read the tag value, the error no longer occurs.
I would like to understand why this is happening for future use. Is it possible that I was reading to soon after creating the tag object and it was not read?
