Hi!

It was at least 15 years since I done a project with a Siemens S5.

Now I have to make some minor changes (timers etc) on someone else's old program. I know the client uses the DOS version so I'll use their computer. Don't have step 5 software myself.

Problem is that I have forgotten just about everything, so I need to brush up my S5 knowledge. Where do I go, what do I do?

I've done plenty of work in step 7 since but I don't remember what step 5 dos have in common with step 7, if anything.

Any ideas?

There was a 3rd party window's based software I used for a Siemens S5 about 20 years ago. I forget what it is . I will search for it this evening .

Thanks guys! I think I have what I need for now.

I just read on Siemens site that the S5 system was introduced in 1979.
So in a couple of years S5 is 40 years old. Time flies.
