Hey everyone, I have a Micrologix 1400 1766-L32 BXB, that I am trying to use to read the pulses from an encoder. The encoder is made by Omeron I believe with 360ppr, wiring label for encoder is

Red= 5-24v
Black= 0v
Green= A
White= B
Shield= N.C.

I have it wired as follows...

Red= +24 supply
Black= negative supply
Green= IN0
White= IN1
Shield= not connected

I have configured a Mov instruction in program Source address as HSC:0.ACC and Destination= L9:0

Input filter for inputs 0+1 set to 5 micro sec.

PFN= 3 (for ladder program 3)
UIE=1
FE=1
AS=1
CE=1
MOD= 6

All other function files are default 1 or 0(did`t mess with em). I thinking it could be something with the shield not connected. encoder is a real cheap piece, I do have continuity flicker between A&B wires while turning encoder by hand and can maintain continuity at a stop. Thanks in advance guys.
