Factory talk historian SE - Matrikon OPC server

Hi,

Can the FT Historian SE catch and store data from an OPC Server like Matrikon? If so, Would the FT Historian take the timestamps directly from the OPC tags or does it put the timestamps from the server where the FT Historian is installed?

Does the FT Historian SE license come with the Microsoft SQL server included?

Can the FT Historian SE catch and store data from an OPC Server like Matrikon? - Yes, You will use the FTLD interface to pull from the OPC server.

If so, Would the FT Historian take the timestamps directly from the OPC tags or does it put the timestamps from the server where the FT Historian is installed? This is a config setting, It can go either way.

Does the FT Historian SE license come with the Microsoft SQL server included? So, FT Historian comes w/ Sql Server Express to handle the AF database. The actual historical data is not stored in SQL however. I believe there are some SKUs that you can buy SQL Licenses with though, you'd want to talk to your acct rep for those.
