Looking at how to use and build an AVE instruction in Logix 5000

I am looking at using an AVE instruction in my application, but when I look at the instruction help, it makes no sense to me. I would just like to understand what tags that I have to build and how I use those tags in the instruction.

I come from the school of, find one that works and build it like that, but I have no examples to go from... and that is what I need. Thanks for any help!!!
