Wonderware Playsound() Freeze the screen

need help Playsound() command freeze during runtime.
Or is there any alternative solution to play sound from a player like Windows media player or VLC? need a script sample. Thanks!

First check what version of the software you have and if there are any patches to apply.

The command should not freeze during the run time. I would notify WW of this issue if it continues after applying any relevant patches.
