mitsubishi plc Data quiestion

Hello all, I want to store data and move it to my GOT HMI but when the number hits 32000 it goes negative. My range is -32768I to 32768 am thinking I need to use a double word storage point or something else. Can someone help me with this. This is what I am using now.
