meaning of specs in electrical wires

Hi guys does any one know what does the specs on electrical wires mean....1sq mm (1/1.13)....what does that specs in brakets mean

I'm guessing the actual OD inc the insulation

It just means that the 1sq mm is made up of 1 strand with a diameter of 1.13mm. 7/0.43 is a common configuration for 1sq mm and this has 7 strands of 0.43mm diameter.

Thnks guys for your help. Had a look at some cable charts online but charts weren't that clear...thnks for the confirmation
