Has anyone experienced problems with Modbus Ethernet?
I have Several devices communicating on an Ethernet network
which includes a PC running WonderWare that reads and writes
to a PLC via modbus Ethernet. There has been some intermitant
problems with the other devices trying to communicate.
Could WW and the PLC be blathering TCP/IP packets and causing
collisions therefore hogging the network? Or is this some sort
of conspiracy?

Does anyone Know the truth?

Ethernet switch

I would assume that you are not using an ethernet switch to isolate
the traffic on your network. My suggestion is to put one in.
This will expose and pinpoint the problem.
