Cognex vc5 vision controller

Good Morning,
I have had a problem come up with a project that completed 3 months ago with a L71s Allen Bradley controllogix platform and a Cognex VC5 3d vision controller. All of a sudden I have lost communications on my Ethernet line from the plc to the vision controller. I can ping the IP address but RS linx will not see it. Contacted AB and Cognex and other than updating the firmware for the EN2T they are not sure what has happened, also I had the Ethernet cables changed out just in case.
