Hello,

I'm going to switch jobs within one month, this also means I'm switching for PLC/DCS systems.

As soon as I arrive at my new workplace I'm going on a course for learning Honeywell TDC3000.

What can I expect, what are the mean differences between let say an Delta_V,PCS7 and a Honeywell TDC3000?

I assume you are going from PLC systems to DCS systems? In the DCS world, the focus and path forward is on object oreirented systems. I just moved from the DCS world to the PLC world. I am still trying to find my way. Despite what some here might say, it is not the easiest of transitions. The DCS world to me has a pool of tags and controls happens with those. In the PLC ladder world, you have many ladders and control is logically grouped in ladders (if your lucky) , but you can have many different ladders. It is just a bias like Ford people and Chevy people. Good luck.
