What exactly does this expression mean? Not mathematically.. but rather, as it relates to "Mapping" ... Not maps of cities or lands .. but rather, as it relates to programming PLC's

I've used that as a shorthand for "MOVE"

CoDeSys v3.5, for example uses this terminology for mapping process data words. As above, I have recently seen this used for I/O words between the PLC and an Ethernet/IP device.
