Project we are bidding has ClearScada as the software they want and the only allowed alternate is Wonderware. We formally asked about Ignition and the formal answer was one word "No." without explanation.

I submitted a request to Schneider but I have no idea if they will reply in time. We have two days to finish our proposal. I don't need exact figures to generate pricing for a bid. I expect less than 1000 tags, and three runtime licenses for this project.

Anyone got a rough number for me?

TIA
Paul

while I have no idea about pricing and indeed never heard of clearscada, have you called the vendor and told them your situation? they should be able to quote u quickly even if it is list prices

I feel your pain

Clearscada was all the rage in the oilpatch here in Alberta Canada for a few years. There are slot of installs. But more and more are now going to ignition. Unfortunately I haven't done an installation only maintenance and fixing so I don't know a price for you, and if I wasn't on a quad all day tomorrow fixing communications I could phone my supplier for a price.

I'm kinda curious now. Good luck.

I fear you may be disappointed if the UK experience is anything to go by, i have to chase constantly for tech info and pricing for new and existing parts, its exasperatingly frustrating. o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

See below for list pricing in AUD. I'm guessing at least around 30% more expensive than USD from past experience.

Note that I don't know much about ClearSCADA, so the items below are my best guess at what you need.

See http://www.schneider-electric.com.au/en/faqs/FA299727/

TBUCSRV-1500PT CLEARSCADA SERVER, 1,500 PT, SW $9,024.96
TBUCVWX-0001CLL CLEARSCADA VIEWX, 1 CLIENT LICENSE $2,931.48

Hope this helps. (y)

Awesome, Thanks! They called me back today... I told them my needs, they were very friendly and professional, and are supposed to get a specialist to call me with further info.

Later, I got an email with links for training which I also asked about ... Still no pricing...

But we turn in our bid tomorrow, so I think my w.a.g was good after reading that last post.
