bit shift right and bit shift left function in connected components workbench

Hi everyone im a student from mexico and i have a problem using the ladder function BSR AND BSF (BIT Switch left and right), I use connected component workbench and i don´t know exactly how this function works if anyone can send me an example it will be helpful.
