hi

i am stuck up with ab plc.
my problem is with communication of plc.

1)plc microLogix1200 connected to AIC+ & pc is connected to AIC+
here if i load rs-232/df1 devices drver then only i ab able to see plc in rslinx/rswhoem. but here i am connecting the plc to AIC+
i download& run program on plc.there is no problem at all
But if i used 1747-pic/aic+driver then i am able to see any plc icon on rslinx/rs whoem.

logically if i am using AIC+ & connect pc to PLC through AIC+.then
i have to use 1747-pic/aic+driver then only i am able to communicate to other devices.

2)In second case i used 1747-pic/aic+driver doing programing but here i am not able to use rs-232/df1 driver through AIC+

as per my knowldge & view if we download any program in plc then processor set to that particular driver & node address.how we change processor to new driver .

the plc u dont have to change, the driver is just for the PC to communicate with it. The PLC will use DH485 but if communicating processor to processor or hmi then its possible code is needed.
