PCS7 alarming problem

Hi,

Is there someone who has experience with PCS7 ver 6? We've got some problems with alarming. Most of the alarms or coming in several times with a maximum of 1 sec time difference. We've upgraded our system from Version 4 directly to version 6.

What brand and model of PLC are you asking about. Is it the Siemens S7 series? If so, there are many here with experience with that one.

I saw this problem with a very early PCS7 V4, but I've never heard of it occurring with V5 or later. Could it be something to do with the way the alarms have been programmed?

Maybe Siemens' original work around for the problem means that under some circumstances the programme cannot be carried directly from V4 to V5 or V6.
