I was wondering how the TON instruction works in PLC 5? I put in 5000 for the preset just like I do in ControlLogix but it doesn't seem like 5 seconds. Seems like alot more.

Hi,

Take a look at the time base, it is 0.01sec (Default), so a preset of 5000 = 5000 * 0.01 = 50 Sec.

You need to set a preset of 500 to get 5 Sec.
