Hello,
I've never had to do this conversion yet so I was curious if there are any "gotchas" etc to watch out for.
I know the *.mer should load naively with the pv+6 except that the current pv+ is using RIO which isn't supported with pv+6 so that will be changed to use rs232/DF1. The plc is has a 5/05 with an unused serial port. The current pv+ is connected using an RN6 add-on card to a 1747-SN card on the PLC.
What I've done so far to prepare is to load up a XP VM with FTView 5.0 to recover the *.mer back into a project (I don't have the original project files) and did the tag conversion for 64 bit and was able to load it into FTView 9 on a windows 10 pc.
Is there anything else I need to do before I download it to the replacement panel other than removing the networking config for RIO and then setting up the serial?
