Hello, looking for some help on Omron SSS software.
I am trying to run this software on an XP professional lap top.The program runs OK and connects to the PLC (after creating a DOS partition for it to write it's files to), but when it transfers the program from the PLC it takes 5~10 mins to convert a program with only 3 rungs in it, the program then disconnects from the PLC and you have to re-connect it. These problems are annoying rather than critical but i would like to see them fixed.
Before anyone suggests using CX or Syswin (we have both on site)- we need to use SSS to support legacy PLC's, it was only a recent PC hardware upgrade that created the problem.
Thanks in advance...

Actually I posted to keep up on this thread. I have LSS2 but havent tried it on an XP machine yet. Have you tried creating a DOS Boot partition and running the LSS from there?

If there's no resolution here I'll try it out myself later, when I get the time.

Mike
