know-how protection

I've writen a progie white diferent FB's fc's and now i want to protect my fb's with a know-how protection.

The manual of siemens says: open object =>file=>proportie's and then on the tab general part2 select the box with know-how.

now my problem my pc/step-7 doesn't alaw this (i can't select this box).

i'm using siemens simatic step 7 with PLC Simulation.

Hi Peter,

To protect your program code, you have to do this:

- open your 'FB' in Editor
- generate a source
- close the 'FB' and open the generated source
- in the declaration part under 'TITLE'
- enter the command : KNOW_HOW_PROTECT
- compile the source

now the block is protected.
