Hello,

I've got a question concerning the maximum speed (baudrate).

I know that the lenght of your profibus cable defines the maximum speed(baudrate).

Now I'm looking for some kind of a table were I can see which baudrate to choose by which cable lenght?

Rudi

This is really basic Profibus spec info -

Baud Rate...........Max Segment Length
9.6 to 187.5 Kbaud.......1000 m
500 Kbaud..................400 m
1.5 Mbaud..................200 m
3 to 12 Mbaud.............100 m

A network can have up to 10 segments

Regards

Ken
