Hello,
I am connecting a QuickPanel JR (Total Controls) to a Micrologix 1500 (Allen Bradley, Base:1764-AWA, Procesor Unit:1764-LSP serie C) in the port 0, using DF1 communication and there are communication problems. However, if I make the testing with a Micrologix 1000 (Allen Bradley, 1761-L32AWA, serie C) it does work and all the rest of parameters (baudrate, stopbits, etc) are the same in both PLC's
Could someone help me with that?
Thank you.

Touch 3 corners of the screen at the same time to bring up the setup menu.
You should start a new post.

hi,
If the distance between PLC and i/o's (AI,AO,DI,DO) is 2 km far.
How can i communicate with them? or what are the different types of ways to communicate with them? or What is the maximum distance upto which we can communicate?
Please give me answer.

You really should start a new thread. Your question has nothing to do with a Quick Panel Jr. HMI, which was what this thread was about back in 2002 and again when you responded in June of this year.
To answer your question, two words "Fiber Optic". For that distance, forget about anything over copper wires. There are also wireless I/O options. Beyond that, what PLC are you using? That will help narrow your choices about what remote I/O strategies are available to you.

Thanks Steve,
Actually field I/O's will connect to GE Fanuc PLC and from this panel our control room is 2km far which is a ABB make. So we want to take data from GE Fanuc PLC into ABB PLC. So what will be the better solution?

hi...
i want to control locally parameters (AI=53,AO=5,DI=12,DO=12) without any PLC. Please suggest me the solution (make of Honeywell and Yokogawa)like microprocessor based PID controller.

One solution would be a "Computer". They are amazing machines that can do almost any thing that one can imagine. No programming needed either, just go to the "Internet" and get all the instructions free of charge.
