Hi there.

I’m new in communication between HMI Siemens and PLC Simatic S7-200.
I need to communicate a CPU 226XM with a HMI TP270 and I don’t know how to do this.
May anybody help me please?.
I need MPI cable pin-out too.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Chamo,
trata este link:
http://www2.automation.siemens.com/simatic/portal/html_76/techdoku.htm

Buena suerte,
LJAM

You can use this simple cable, it's good for lower bitrates:
CPU TP
3--------------3
8--------------8

CPU port is 9600 bps default set
from ProTool create your new project, select
protocol: SIMATIC S7 - 200
parameters..network parameters: profile Standard, bitrate 9600

Hi guys!.

LJAM, tu español es mejor que mi ingles jeje.
Gracias pot el link pero ya busque en Siemens y solo obtuve informacion para hacer lo que me recomienda RGUA.

RGUA, past friday I connected both ports using pins 3 and 8 (RS-485 port) but I doesn't works.
I used 19.200 because MPI protocol works from it baud rate.
I believe that I have a problem with PORT1 of CPU226 configuration, I use register SMB130 for this but I'm sure that there is some problem with it.
In the Protool side I believe that I have a configuration problem too with Area Pointers, I'm not sure about its configuration.
Do you have some idea about that?.

Hi
Leave SMB130 at 0. It's for freeport communication only. Set up your comms parameters in the 'System Block' in MicroWin, make sure they match in the TP and use 3-3 and 8-8 cable.

As paraffin said you don't need work at SMs, configure port 1 by Microwin "Bloque de sistema" and download the program:
"carga CPU" --> opciones -->bloque de sistema

Read this application note:note_HMI_200

Area Pointer involves data exchange. Read the help in ProTool

THANKS!!!!!

Thanks Guys!!!, I got communication between PLC and TP, I just needed to configure SYSTEM BLOCK (thanks PP).
Well, all of you win a beer, if any of you comes to Venezuela contact me and I will pay you hehe.
I'm sure I will have more questions and I hope to be in touch with you!!.

Regards
Chamo
