I would like to study Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P$ID's) in more detail. What web site could supply me with sample diagrams? I also have AutoCad Lite and if anybody could supply me with some diagrams I would kindly appreciate it.

I do have a textbook that briefly covers the topic but not in great detail. It define's tag numbers and general instrument symbols.

Thanks

Randy

The ISA (Instrument Society of America) has a standard for P & I Diagrams - ISA-S5.1 It includes some sample diagrams. You can order it from their web site http://www.isadirectory.org/

In my experience the format for PID's varies quite a bit from industry to industry and company to company. If your company doesn't have previous projects with PID's you can create your own "standard" without too much fear.
