I am trying to learn more about NOTO, NOTC, NCTO NCTC. Well if anyone can help me to explain about these operation with a simple ladder logid diagram (Just with one input and output), I will really appriciate it.

Thanks for your help and time.

All are types of timers

NOTO - Normally Open, Timed Opening - On application of power to the timer these contacts close immediately then open after a set time. This is sometimes called an 'interval' timer.

NOTC - Normally Open, Timed Closing - On application of power a timing period starts after which these contacts close. This is the 'normal' 'delay on' timer

NCTO - This is just the complementary set of contacts from a NOTC timer.

NCTC - This is the complementary set of contacts of a NOTO timer.

Timers

Here`s how an Allen Bradley timer works.
Hope this helps too. You might want to
register. It doesn`t cost MUCH. Different
plcs show timers differently, but they
work like bernie_carlton explained.

When I:0/0 is on for 15 seconds T4:0/DN NC will open and T4:0/DN NO will close. When I:0/0 is not true they will go back to thier normal state.
