Project ideas:
simple washing machine, then advance to more complex functions.
garage door controls
home heating and lighting
The standards that every student does, traffic light & elevator controls.
A guy recently did an automatic drink mixer for his bar.
The possibilities are endless, almost any thing can be done if you put your mind to it. Think of some thing you are familiar with and then try to write the logic to control it.
