Quantum PLC floating point register

How the Value in floating point reg get placed
if the float value = 12.7
How it will placed in quantum Holding registers 400100 & 400101

is it like .............. 400100 = 12
400101 = .7

Pls correct me if i am wrong

The floating point registers are created using an IEEE formula. Simple explantion is the two 16 bit registers are treated as one 32 bit register, where the first 12 bits represent the base number and the remaining 20 bits are the power of 10.
