Is anyone else at RSTechED in Orlando this week ? I wore around my black PLCs.net shirt on Monday (even to the closed-door managers session) and nobody seemed to recognize it.

Maybe PLCs are just too low-level for the Software guys to hang out here...

I understand Alan Case will be there.

I'm wandering around too. Lot of folks here this year.

I was there for RStechED 2003. Was one of those that almost won the Harley! Had to settle for a Harley stein.

I had lunch with Alan; it's good to finally put a face (and an accent !) with the name from half-way around the world ! It sounds like our Melbourne office is doing a good job of taking care of him.

Tonight I had a dozen software specialists at the "Texas de Brazil" steakhouse in town... ow, my aching wallet. It was a terrific opportunity to meet with the guys who do the hard work of millions of dollars worth of our software business.

It's an impressive sight, with 1100 geeks all singing the FactoryTalk gospel.

I hope to see more of the PLCs.net regulars at Automation Fair in St. Louis this November. Maybe I can find a way to make a case to sponsor Phil's trip.
