Hi everyone,

Im now working on a project using Omron PLC CJ1M CPU21 and Touch Panel NT21.

I manage to work out the communication of PLC and Touch Panel, and the communication of PC and PLC. However I failed to set up the communication of PC to NT21 Touch Panel. Im using a RS232 cabel. I follow the instruction manual, and set up the PC comm port and baud rate accordingly.
In the Touch Panel NT21 itself, i set the memory switch Comm.B to NT link(1:1). Then i switch to Transmission mode. However the commmuncation didnt work when i try to download a screen to NT21.

Can anyone who used NT21 before tell me what step did i miss out?
Thank you.
Cheers,

sutton

Are both ports (PLC & screen) set to NTLink 1:1? I am more inclined to use 1:N.

Another thing I thought about, did you set the PT Control and PT Notify areas in the NT21. Also, the first word in the PT Control area needs to be set for a valid screen number. Screen 0 (zero) is NOT a valid screen number.
