I want to communicate from mi plc logix1500\panelview550 to riveting machine(BALTEC).
Baltec has two ports (485\232) the first one is busy and the other one is able to use. I Dont know if I can use the 232 port for my project or if is necesary to use the 485 port, also I dont Know if this ports have driver comunicatios for my PLC\Pview.

Anybody here could help to me to acces Baltec Data.
I have two programs in the Baltec Machine, but actually we select the program from the baltec control panel. The goal is to select\change the program form Panel View and Display data and results of the Baltec sequence.

If you have a LRP series ML1500 (giving you two serial ports), you can set one of the ports to ASCII in the Channel configuration. Then use the AWT or AWA instructions to send data to your serial device. Hope that helps.

thanks for your reply Jstolaruk, Do you Know where can I find more data or manuals about configuration Baltec comunications.
thanks
