Hi,

I've come across a site where a Hakko is working together with an Allen Bradley PLC 5/40 (redundant). The Hakko & PLC 5/40 is in the same small panel.

Attached is the pictures capture from site. I do not know if the OEM purposely (to confuse others) wire the Hakko to 1770-KF2 using a Belden Blue host cable. As I know the Hakko does not support DH+, it should run with serial to the KF2.

While from the redundant PLC to KF2 is using whith colored cable (DH+)!

1) The purpose they put a 1770-KF2 there is because of the redundant PLC? Either the PLC 5 down the Hakko still can work with the system.

2) Is there any other option to replace the 1770-KF2 (very old product, might be going to silver series & very costly)?

Welcom any feedback :)
