Hi I am new in PLC.
Any one tell me connection/cable wiring configuration between MicroLogix 1000 controller to desk top/lab top computer?
If possible could u give me a wiring configuration between 8 pin din plug to 9 pin DB serial plug to COM port.

pinout for Allen-Bradley 1761-CBL-PM02 cable

this might get tricky since the pins on the MiniDIN
aren't numbered - as least as far as MY eyes can see -
but this should get you going if you're careful -

this is looking INTO the male pins of the MiniDIN -
NOT from the solder-side - check the spacing to stay
oriented and you should be ok -

the numbers indicate the terminal numbers on the DB9F -
the 2 pins that aren't numbered have no connections -
no guarantee but I think the only three wires you need
are for pins 2, 3, and 5 on the DB9F

edit PS - oops - looks like ron doran beat me to the punch -
that's what i get for trying to be artistic.
