Slc504 Hsce

Does anybody know of another module that I should look into instead of using the HSCE module. I am using an encoder to track line speed The encoder is optical type that has 1024 revolutions per turn and will be mounted on one of the machine rollers. I have always used the HSCE in the past for other applications but for this simplier app I was thinking that I might be able to use a cheaper module.

If you just need to count pulses, Spectrum makes a four channel & 8 channel pulse counter card. I believe it might work for you. I have been using them for flow meter pulse counts. The 4 channel Spectrum card is much cheaper than the HSCE.
