I need to increase memory capacity on a S7 416 which has integrated memory with a 512 memory card. The load memory is currently at 96%. Need more space for upgrades.
I want to upgrade the memory card to a 1 meg.
Are there any known problems with such an upgrade.

Hello Khrish;

There is no problem if you want to upgrade the load memory. Just power down the PLC, swap cards, power up and download the program to the new memory card.
The s7-416 has a basic work memory oy 2.8 MB anyway, so your 1 MB memory card will never exceed the work capacity of the CPU.
Hope this helps,
Daniel Chartier
